Bachelor of Anesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology (B.AOTT) is an undergraduate four year professional programme designed to prepare students with the specialized knowledge and practical skills required to assist in anaesthesia and surgical procedures. The course provides comprehensive training in anaesthesia techniques, operation theatre management, surgical instruments and equipment, patient monitoring, infection prevention, sterilization, and emergency care. Students are trained to work closely with anaesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of operation theatres and quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Eligibility:
10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) from a recognized board.
Scope:
Graduates can work in the surgical departments of hospitals, emergency care
units, and trauma centres. They play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning
of operating rooms and can also pursue M.Sc. in OTT or Hospital Management.
